Reid Electrical Limited was formed in 2023 however managing director Thomas has been in the industry since 2016. Having gone through his apprenticeship and qualified earning not just the certifications required but the life and business skills he has monitored closely from his peers since he began.
With a constant enthusiasm for home renovation, innovative products, meticulous finishing as well as an eye for attention to detail it was inevitable that Reid Electrical Limited had to start up on their own and dive head first into the electrical sector offering all major jobs for domestic, commercial and trade projects.

WHY CHOOSE REID ELECTRICAL
Managing director Thomas Reid, began his electrical profession in 2016 as a full time electrical installation apprentice training out of Tullos Training in Aberdeen. Working for G&A Barnie Ltd, one of the biggest electrical contractors in the north of Scotland.
During that time Thomas worked on multiple commercial and industrial projects, i.e. hospitals, surgeries, high schools and substations.
Having completed full qualifications in 2021, Thomas then joined North East Electronics Ltd,
a local electrical contractor covering domestic and commercial sites in Aberdeen and shire. Working between major house builders carrying out first-fix wiring and second-fix connections, to then working for some of the UK's biggest Oil & Gas companies within their workshops and offices carrying out essential repairs, maintenance and testing.
During his working time Thomas continued his training to gain an enhanced knowledge
in initial verification and periodic inspection and testing with Select, the trade association for the electrical contracting industry in Scotland. This gives electrical contractors further training in ensuring that all their work is above board, compliant and complete meticulously.
After nearly 7 years of training and working for other local respectable companies within the City and shire, Thomas felt now is as good of a time as any to begin the next chapter in his career. Having built up the Reid Electrical Limited brand for over 6 months behind the scenes and gaining the trust of his mentors, peers, local customers and suppliers the company was formed and the next chapter has begun.
